Halloweekend in Summit County

Celebrate spooky season on the slopes in Summit County, where Halloween costumes pair perfectly with ski boots. There’s something pretty fun about spending Halloween in a ski town, especially when you can get in the spirit in a costume while getting some turns in. This Halloween weekend, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin will host costume contests, a rail jam, and plenty of reasons to head to the mountains.

Keystone is making a whole weekend out of it, with the celebration taking over Summit House at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. If you’re already planning to ski, you might as well throw on your best costume and see if it’s prize-worthy. Saturday also kicks off the first Rail Jam of the season, with a spooky setup and skiers and riders throwing their best tricks. Join in if you’re feeling brave, or grab a spot nearby and watch the action. With candy, prizes, and plenty of people getting into the spirit, it’s a pretty memorable way to spend a weekend on the mountain.

A-Basin is bringing the Halloween vibes to 6th Alley from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Come dressed up, grab some food, listen to music, and see who shows up with the best costume. The costume contest has prizes in several categories, and the whole event is free and open to all ages.
